Happy Camper

Hey there! I nearly finished writing all the songs on the second Happy Camper album. In the next few weeks I’ll be making some recordings with singers and musician
And I worked together on some songs with Case Mayfield, Leine, Janne Schra and Marien Dorleijn of the band Moss
Most used instruments are by now: Xylophone, Trombone and violin.

Oh and Manfred is now packing his bags for a trip to South Korea. The 1st album will be released there by Some Music So after doing a tour in Indonesia last year, we’d be more than Happy to go to Seoul!

We made the music for animation series The Tumblies, for dutch broadcast network KRO.
It’s about three characters and a dog, made out of discs. They can fall apart and get together again. The leader was sung by Leine

From monday october 29th they will be broadcasted, everyday, three times. The design and concept were done by the creators of our very own Manfred Job, Joris & Marieke together with Ramon Verberne. Production was done by Il Luster Productions, animation by NMtrix. And all episodes were directed by Patrick Raats

Made some recordings today with our drummer Jeroen Kleijn in the studio of Martijn Groeneveld

Besides working on the music for children’s series The Tumblies, I go on with working on the new stuff and thinking about who can do which song and what kind of new singers I’m going to invite.

Hey everyone! Thanks for dropping by! Right now I’m working very hard on the 2nd Happy Camper album. So no shows scheduled yet.
If you want a small preview; check this video we played backstage in Paradiso, jus before we did the last show of 2011.

Besides making the album, I’m also working on the music of the animation series The Tumblies for KRO’s Kindertijd. With our studio Job, Joris & Marieke we’re doing both art direction and music. It will be screened at the end of the year.

And if that is not enough, we’re also busy with El Pino & The Volunteers , working on our 3rd album! El Pino was the greatest part of the band of Happy Camper.

So I’ll let you know when we’re heading back to the stage! See you there!
Job

So, our Indonesian tour is almost finished. We had such a great time! The shows in Surbaya and Semarang were really great!
Tomorrow we’ll be heading for Jakarta. Some of us will stay here and travel the country, the rest is going home. On the 28th of january we will do the very last Happy Camper show of the 1st album.

We’re doing a short tour in Indonesia right now! We arrived yesterday in Jakarta. After having a swim and going downtown, tomorrow (monday) we’ll be heading for Surabaya. Here’s a schedule of the 3 shows we’ll be doing:

-Tuesday january 24th Surabaya (Adress: Taman Budaya Cak Durasim, Jl. Gentengkali, Surabaya)
-Thursday january 26th Audirtorium RRI Semarang
-Saturday january 28th Erasmushuis
